An early termination motion is filed in the court that imposed the sentence — not the county you live in now. That makes the county on your judgment the one that matters, and local practice within it worth understanding.
How to read these pages
Hoffman Legal does not maintain an office in every county listed here, and these pages do not suggest otherwise. They explain how early termination works in each county's judicial circuit. Whether we can represent you depends on your case and its location, and that is a question we answer directly when you get in touch rather than something to assume from a page existing.

Why the county matters at all
Florida's trial courts are organised into twenty judicial circuits. Some circuits cover a single county; others cover several. A motion to terminate probation early goes back to the court that imposed the sentence, in the existing criminal case, which means the county named on your judgment and sentence determines where it is filed — even if you moved years ago, and even if supervision was transferred.
The statute is the same statewide. What differs between circuits is practice: whether a hearing is set as a matter of course, how quickly a division schedules one, and what a particular court expects to see attached to a motion. That is why these pages exist per county rather than as one page about Florida.

Only six counties have pages so far. Their absence from this list does not mean a case there cannot be looked at — it means we have not written a page about that county yet, which is a different thing.
